Few students at Methacton Junior-Senior High School realize that behind our school there is an invisible force that is pushing us ahead to greater goals. The men and women on the Lower Providence-Worcester Joint School Board compose this active force. Each month these people give their time and energy to insure that our school is the best that it can be. Our rules and regula- tions, and our privileges too, are reviewed by them as they help us to build a better school. Heading this important organization is Mr. Robert Hilderbrand, President; Mr. Raymond Ramsey, Vice-President; Mr. Al- bert Bobb, Secretary; and Mr. Marriot East- man, Treasurer. 6

Controlling General Administration VINCENT F. FARINA “What the best and wisest parent wants for his own child that must the community want for all its children.” John Dewey Having journeyed along the highway of education together for four years, you have acquired friendships and associa- tions which will be cherished among the many fond mem- ories of your life. Here, within these friendly halls, through the kindly influence of the faculty, you have been guided without being pulled; urged without being suppressed. Now you have reached a milestone in your journey, from here company is parted with those friends, teachers, and parents who have aided thus far, through their experi- ence, kindness, and advice. You are armed with the heritage of strength, knowledge, and character with which your Alma Mater has endowed you. In your struggle forward, seeking “the happy life,” remember always that the earth gives its fruits only to those who labor for them. You have learned that it takes time to bring excellence to maturity. With these thoughts in mind take leave of Methacton knowing that aptitude without aspiration is lifeless and inert.
