Mary Sullivan represented us in comedy reading, Rachel Kamm in poetry, Georgia Doak in original monologue, and Charlene Wagner in an original reading. In Spring musical solo activities, the following students appeared: Bob Hodel, tubag Hilda Danz, cello, Walter Christ, trumpet: Ronald Schertz, baritone: Georgia Doak, flute: Jack Locker, vocalg Rachel Kamm, piccolog Pat Ringness, marimba. The pep band and queen's convertible led the snake dance through the streets of Metamora and back to the High School, where the bonfire was held. It ended with some pep talks and cheers around the fire. The football game and dance were held on Saturday night. MTHS defeated their homecoming opponents, Mackinaw-Deer Creek, by a Score of 37-O. At half-time the MTHS band marched, the queen and her candidates rode around the field in a convertible, and welcomes were made to the alumni. Dancing began at 9:30 P.M. with music by Kenny Landon's orchestra, and at 10:30 the Coronation started. Sixteen senior girls and their escorts made an aisle through which the Queen, her escorts, and the Court marched. Queen Shirley Hoshor's court was: .Toanne Welte, Pat Schneider, Sylvia Gilliatt, and Peg Schneider. Their escorts in the same order were: Anton Engst, Jim Steider, Don Fandel, Jim Welte, and .Tack Fries. Little .lean Laitus and Carol Stephenson followed carrying the Queen's crown and her roses. After the crowning Shirley Hoshor and Anton Engst descended from the stage and led the Grand March. Dancing ended at 12:30 which concluded the 1952 Homecoming. 35
