In the year 1942... Freshman It was in the fall, September 2, 1S41, that a very bachfuF group of Freshmen took their first step toward four years of hi£i school work. The class officers they elected at their first mooting to guido them through the Freshman year were: President------ Vice-president Treasurer------ Secretary----- —Marilyn Setzler —MoIvin Thompson ---Robort Donahue Juno Langonderfcr September 26, 1S41 was a dark and dismal day for forty-one Freshmen who were initiated into high school by the Seniors. The Freshmen had several interesting discussions during tho home room meetings throughout the year. In the year 1943... The admission was paid by the class duos. Tho othor grades wore also invited. Volunteers were made for student council and votod on by tho class, Uva Horrick, June Langonderfor, Joaos Kitig, and Marilyn Sotzlor v oro elected. In the year 1944... Juniors President. . . Vice President Secretary. . . Treasurer. . . Advisor. . . . . Melvin Thompson . Robert Drennan Rose Muriel Doyle . . .Joanne Baker . . .Miss Stewart On October 27, the Junior class sponsored a Halloween party for the four upper grades. Prizes were given for the prettiest dressed, won by Betty Kos; the hardest to guess, won tyDawn Potter and Harriet Woodring; the ugliest dressed, won by Evelyn Stutzman; and the funniest dressed, won by Joyce Mohr, After playing games, refreshments were served. Much admiration was shown for the Junior class rings when they v ere received November 1. One boy chose a pin. The center of the ring is built up with a crest on the top, and 1945 is written on the two sides. The initials are on the outside of the ring.
