INTERNATIONAL STUDENTS' CORRESPONDENCE CLUB Limited in scope of work, but international in outlook, is this group of girl correspon- dents. Their chief activity is writing letters to students of foreign countries-England, Australia, Canada, Africa, Germany, South America, and Switzerland. ln this picture, President Sheila Sworske presides at a meet- ing. Sharlene Stromberg makes a report. The club's director is Sister M. Nobilis. YOUNG CHRISTIAN STUDENTS The laity can do much! Y.C.S. members are interested in student problems lknown as the Social lnquiryl and their consideration in the light of Christian principles. As proper motivation they read a selection from the Gospel and decide upon an act of service to perform the following week. Three groups in school work under the guidance of Sisters M. Monica, M. Janet, and Caroline Marie. CONFRATERNITY OF CHRISTIAN DOCTRINE One of the newest clubs in school, this one follows directly the iniunction of the Holy Father. Every Saturday, two of the girls help Sister catechists by teaching prayers to public- school children at St. James, Lannon. The inserted picture shows lclockwisel Janet Stordeur, Karen Neuzerling, Ann Guzzonato, Mary Ann Haertl, and Carol Schmidt discuss- ing posters they make and use in their work. No d a pic ues are collected, but the girls sponsored nic for the children on their last Saturday. Sister M. Anaclete is their untiring advisor. CRAFT CLUB In contrast to the religious-minded club: pictured on this page, the Craft Club repre- sents the practical extras in a girI's life Janet Sinkovec and Virginia Miskewicz poo their talents for the finishing touches on c little book stand. Sandra Simasko looks oven a miniature wastebasket that was once ar ice-cream can. Under the guidance of Sisteu M. Rosalia, the girls fairly burst with in- genious ideas.
