A, .N REV. JOSEPH R. STEHLING Ifimzncizzl A 11 ministrnlor Here's a man who is always on the run. Trying to find him in one place for any length of time is almost impossible. It takes a person with real ambition and much energy to accomplish the good that Father Stehling has brought to our school. As pastor of St. Nicholas, his time is divided between Messmer and his parish. His long stay at MHS has proved him to be very competent in deciding our financial matters. Father Stehling- a man of sound judgment and quick wit. REV. LOUIS E. RIEDEL Principal, Counselor This time we caught Father on the way out. Being the head of SUMA sometimes takes him from our midst, but who of us hasn't found him always ready to assist his Messmerites both spiritually and scholastically? Father's the kind of per- son whose virtues need not be depicted in words. A capable principal and a suc- cessful priest-that's our own Father Riedel.

REV. CARROLL A. GUNTHER Director of Religion, Teacher, Counselor Who says faculty members don't laugh? We have proof that they do. Sure, Father Gunther is the man we mean. He doesn't spend all his time figuring out how to keep us happy, though. Cheerfulness seems to be one of his natural attributes. Father's example of facing things with a smile will remain foremost in our minds after we leave Messmer - when the old road of life starts getting rough and we need something to keep us from giving up. REV. VERNON J. KUEHN Director of Athletics, Teacher, Counselor Father Kuehn is a man of many duties. He is spiritual director of our Catholic Students' Mission Crusade and Ecclesi- astical Assistant to Young Christian Stu- dents. As athletic director, he has done an enormous job of carrying the tradition of Messmer into the world of sports. Father's casual attitude has made it easy for us to become attached to him. Father Kuehn is an able teacher, a reliable coun- selor, and an all-around good sport.
