MESSLAH GGES TO TEMPLE This year, in what may be an educational first in the United States, a small private institution has established a branch campus at a major university- Messiah has gone to Temple. After several years of planning, the satellite campus became functional this year. This campus provides a unique opportunity for Messiah students to further their education in new directions, in a new setting. Messiah students enroll in the Temple courses and receive the advantages a large, urban, university offers, while they live in a more personalized setting than the university offers and study supplemental courses available through Messiah faculty. This was a year full of adjustments for the Messiah students at Temple. They had to take other residences until Messiahis Living- Learning Center at 2026 North Broad Street was ready for use. The daily ritual of fighting early-morning subway crowds to get to classes Was an experience for which Grantham residency had provided little trainin Classes with profs who g had written their own texts were frightening but instructional. Messiah has taken a great step forward, the years to come will show how great.
