In the fall, three nen students joined nine of last yearis Freshmen to make an even dozen for the Sophomore class. With the Sophomores. it is quality and not quantity that counts. Our class ofhcers have Ineeu: John Niesley, presidentg Harry Mann, Jr., vice- presidentg Mary Helen Krayhill. secretaryg and Dorthy Myers, treasurer. Mr. and Mrs. Civler have been our counselors. Last fall the class entertained the Freshmen with an outing. Later the Freshmen entertained the Sophoniorc-s. Both occasions were times which will long be remem- bered by both classes. We are looking forward Lo a larger class next year and are anxiously awaiting the time when we shall return as Jolly Juniors. MIDDLE Row: Lane Hostetter, Evelyn Poe, Ruth Miller, Beulahrose Carlson, Gladys Fetrow, Helen Pyke, William Boyer. FRONT ROW: Esther Sollenberger, Mary Kathryn Stern, Lois Hennigh, Verda Maggert. This school year has been a very prosperous year for the Junior class. The big event of the year was the Junior-Senior Banquet and it was fun preparing for it. Among our group we have: one who aspires to be a Princeton student, a young poet, a splendid nurse, a promising baritone soloist, a radio technician, several re- markable pianists, a minister and other talented members. Wilmer Haas, although this being his first year here, has served as president. Esther Sollenberger, after an absence of one year has returned and served as vice- president. Our secretary has been Mary Kathryn Stern and treasurer, Lane Hostetter. Our capable counselor has been Professor lVlusser. As a group we all hope to be back next year and we look forward to the Senior year with the hope of having others with us. twenty

We, the Freshman Class of '4-2 wish to express our sincere appreciation for the delightful time we have enjoyed together as a class both in and out of the classroom. The highlights ,were the exchange of entertainments between the Sophomores and our- selves. We elected as our class olficers, President, Richard Minterg Vice President, Simon Lehmang Secretary, Ruth Brubakerg Treasurer, Miriam Heisey. We also wish to express our deep appreciation for our counselor, James Bru- baker, who served in a Civilian Public Service Camp during the last semester.
