GCDVERNMENT DAY 28 On February 21, 1986, Mesquite High School held another Student Government Day. Up to par was Student Mayor, Randy Coplin, ten minutes late. The introduction was conducted by Mayor Pro-Tem Terry Brimer because Mayor Brunhilde Nystrom was attending a seminar. After the introduction fwhich was attended by both MHS and West Mesquite High Schoolj, the two schools separated. Mesquite High students went with their respected city officials to learn more about the duties of each office. At eleven-thirty, all MHS students met together in the city chamber to have a mock council meeting. Students voiced their opinions to some very hilarious situations. The Dallas Athletic Country Club was the host of the combined schools' luncheon. Both MHS and WMHS students ate with their city official counterparts. After the luncheon, Mesquite students went to the library to have a mock trial. Officer George Rice was a big help in this. At two o'clock, things wound down, and ended Student Government Day '86. ,hm Q 4-.
