At school, Michael Yee was perceived as a quiet, solemn, yet a hard working student. Although his personality did not make him stand out very much in the classroom, his soccer skills set him aside from many other athletes. Despite public apathy toward his selected sport, he was inspired and driven to be one of the best, that was what Michael became at Mesquite, one of the best. Standing above a group of many, he played varsity for three years. He was a superior player offensively as well as defensively for the team each year. By using his exceptional ball control on the playing field, he left behind a bewildered opponent and a cloud of dust. Upon graduation, Michael plans to attend college and play soccer as well. His skill was not limited to acquired talents, but also included the ability to control his will. Michael Yee exemplified the words of the great American poet, Ralph Waldo .
