when they arrived in time for Christmas. During our junior year four members of our class left us: Alberta Truesdale, who moved to Vestalg Janet Peet and Charlotte Rogers, who got marriedg and Daniel Newhart. We had a Halloween Party which was the big- gest success ever. In April we presented our play, The Big Blow-Up, showing our outstanding dramatic talent. Our other money making projects for the year were a raffle and magazine campaign which were both very profitable. On May 7, the annual Junior-Senior Banquet was held at the South Auburn Grange Hall which proved to be a memorable evening for all of us. On Some Enchanted Evening in May we had our annual Junior-Senior Prom in the Meshoppen Gym. Through these activities and a few class parties we really had a wonderful year. It was on August 29, 1955, that twenty-nine thoughtful but happy seniors en- tered Meshoppen High for the last of their twelve years. Among those were, Shirley Teetsel, who came back from Tunkhannock High School and John Barnes. We were certainly very happy to find Mrs. Space, once again, as our class advisor. The fol- lowing officers were elected: President, Raymond Manning: Honorary President, John Barnesg Vice President, Evelyn Pointekg Treasurer, Phyllis Hampseyg Secretary, Regina Bankog Historian, Ruth Ann Love, Representatives, Bill Carter and Evelyn Smith. On October 20 and 21 we presented our play, A Feudin' Over Yonder, which filled the house for the three performances. The closing highlights of our year were: Class Night, May 115 the Prom, May 185 Baccalaureate Service in St. Joachims Roman Catholic Church, May 20g and our long awaited, COMMENCEMENT, May 25. Then came OUR TRIP T0 WASHINGTON, AND THUS ON INTO OUR FUTURE. As you climb the hills of the coming years, May you travel in high and never shift gears, With plenty of spark and never a knock, And a joyfilling station in every block.
