Meet C wpionships were recorded in Class 2-A at the Dows Invitational and Class B at the Broncoette relays at Belmoncl. School record perfor- mances were turned in by Pam Schoneman in the high jump 14' 11 Charlotte Brandt in the 100 yard dash f12.1J, The 10 flight shuttle hurdle relay of Jody Lightbody, Carmen Wiemann, Sherri Koenen Charlotte Brandt and the 880 medley relay of Roxie Ruiter, Terri telsen, Sherri Koenen and Maureen Ingebretson. Pam Schoneman, Roxie Ruiter, Terre Floy, Terri Galbreath, and Charlotte Brandt qualified for the state meet in the high jump, long jump, 400 meter shuttle relay, 100 meter low hurdles and yard low hurdles.

The Lancers set five new school marks this year. The strength of Lancer track team was centered around the sprints and field events past season. Records were established in these areas: Brian Nissen the pace as he cleared 6'O in the high jump to rank him in the top r class C jumpers in the State. Brian was also conference cham- n. Mick Kreitlow set a new mark in the pole vault with a jump of ' '0. Barry Groh lowered the 100 dash standard to 10.4, 'and Alvin 1 :ike did the same in the 220 dash with a time of 23.8. The 440 re- 1 y fMark Fischer, Steve Oppermann, Barry Groh, and Alvin Deikej 1 is a strong threat throughout the year and also established a new nool mark of 46.4, ranking them as the eighth fastest unit in the ate.
