enial tail t has been said, 'Tis my job . . . Tis no crime for a man to labour in his work. This certainly applies to the people who work in the offices of Mesa High school. Eula Harris, who operates the public address system and makes the bulletin, is secretary to Mr. Brim- hall. Anita Chesley, who receives the phone calls, is private secretary to Mr. Kilbourne. She is always willing to help students who need information. Elizabeth Wirken is secretary of the counselors. Melvin Sizemore heads the registration and attendance. Helping him with the attendance headache is Delia Dee Jaimes. Dee takes care of excuses and other attendance difficulties. Efficiently handling the duties of registration are Florence Mortensen and Lora Ste- wart. Each period four students assist in the attendance office and every other period a student helps the registrar. nO ANITA CHESLEY Secretary EULA HARRIS Secretary ELIZABETH WIRKEN Secretary

air dnisnrs his year the counselor's have combined forces with the nurse to form the Guidance Depart- ment. This is the first time in history, Mesa High has had a full time nurse and has employed three counselors ready to help with any problems or aches and pains of the students. This system has bettered Mesa High because now each class has its own counselor, whereas in the past years, the class groups were divided with one counselor for the boys and one for the girls. The Guidance Department consists of Mrs. Elson, counselor for the seniors, Mr. Glazier, counselor for the juniors, Mr. Kellis, counselor for the sophomores, and Mrs. Tully, the nurse. Also this year, Leroy Miller's old mathematics room was remodeled into a new nurse's office. lt has four rooms: a waiting room, the nurse's office, and two rooms of beds, one for the boys and one for the girls. The office adjoining the nurse's waiting room is oc- cupied by Mr. Glazier.
