l 41 Warren Wells serves as club general chairman edimled a-.,. To you, Mr. Warren Wells, we respectfully dedi- cate this, the fiftieth volume of the Superstition. Mr. Wells, you have truly devoted your time and efforts to the Mesa High students. You are called friend as well as teacher, counselor as well as leader. You first came to Mesa High in l94O. lt looked as though your teaching career might not last very long for on December 7 l94l Pearl Harbor was attacked and you like many thousands of Americans gave up your 'ob and took a position which would help end the war Later you returned to Mesa High and resumed teaching As year upon year passed you became more im portant to each new class coming into Mesa High You were the teacher they turned to during their first year here You served as Sophomore class sponsor for many years and this year you are general chairman of the twenty eight clubs on campus You also served as head of the social studies department Though this be a small part of the reward you re ceive from all your many efforts we offer it sincerely and as a token of our thanks to a friend and teacher Warren Wells l Fl! and has become a friend and helper to many 2 as Sophomore social studies teacher
