iili liniding Hand robably the most important line is the administra- tion, for this line connects with all the others and, if a successfully co-operative one, tends to the better- ing of schools. The administration, which includes the school board, the principal and all the faculty, guides the students in creating the many lines for the school year, striv- ing to improve the learning standards. But many of the teachers have more to do than just instruct. They sponsor the clubs and keep those lines united to form better organizations. One of the administration lines is the boys' and girls' counselors, who have gained the respect and friend- ship of the students. Many times they bring relief with their understanding of teenagers. Yes, a line can be viewed as the people constantly working to make education more enjoyable. Shepherd, Superintendent of Public Schools, also looking ahead. Because of the ever increasing enrollment in the Mesa Sch is always a demand for room to expand, This is one of many jobs which Mr. Shepherd has charge ot. One of the plans that is being developed under Mr. Shepherd's leadership is the expansion of Mesa High by the acquisition of the Lincoln School next fall, ools, there The five man School Board, which represents the public, backs Mr. Shepherd in his various duties. lt is up to them to maintain good schools for us to attend. ill, Dwight Patterson.
