This Is Your Life, Students Cf Meso High IN A MOMENT now we shall meet our subiects for this Superstition. We are entering a large architectural mas- terpiece surrounded by one of the most beautiful cam- puses in the state. Tall, sedate palm trees outline the well kept lawns while lively flowers add a spark of color to the landscape. The front steps bring us to the Grecian columns that frame the main entrance. As we walk down the hall of this great school we see the bulletin boards announcing the many activities that this school is famous for. Trophy cases and pictures line the walls, an eternal reminder of those who have gone before. The students pass us in the hall hurrying to their auditorium, whose walls have heard and seen talent in its infant stages and watched it develop to perfection. The traditional class yells end abruptly as the lights go down. An expectant hush falls over the assembled students. A spot light dances over the group, picking out the sophomores on the left, the seniors in the center, and the juniors on the right. The spot becomes larger until it encompasses the whole student body. Yes, Students of Mesa High, THIS IS YOUR LIFE. You Honored Him FLOYD C. DENTON, has been not only a Teacher but a a friend, giving you confidence to perform in assemblies and hehmng youto nnprove yourinuskaltdents No one else is more deserving of this honor than he. Mr. Denton came to Mesa High in l947. His ten years of services for the students and the school will be remembered long after he is gone. As well as being the director of the well known A Cappella Choir and the one to originate Vespers at Mesa High, he has played a big part in producing as- senwbhes and direchng allthe operehas presented dur- ing the years he has been here.
