The stimulating lyrics of the school song . . . the majesty of the team parading through the Pepteens . . . cheerleaders screaming . . . the pep hand performing their usual spirit- boosting music . . . the production of “What Our Fellas Wear ” star- ring David Franz . . . Coach Dema- ree’s promising words . . . roses for Mrs. Jeffries . . . the presentation of the giant Pirate head made by the art department . . . brief speeches by Co-captains Don McKeny and Mick- ey Gaboyan . . . school spirit . . . “Once there was a Trojan ’’ ... all a part of the Pirate effort to make the ' 67 Homecoming victorious. Leading loyal fans in the school song are cheer- leaders Nancy Dunklau. Carol Brugos, Debby Mayes. Debby Petrain and Gwen Cieszkiewicz.

Busy school week ends with pep session Through a vanguard of Pepleens, co-cap- tains Don McKeny and Mickey Gaboyan lead the ’ 67 fighting Pirates to their place of honor at the Homecoming pep session. The spirit of determination of its name- sake team is shown in the expression on this Pirate face. The feel belong to Garee Earp. 28

Decorations for ' ' Spirit Week ' ' add a colorful atmosphere to the halls and gym. Spirit stick, boosting team are two goals main Paint spotted clothes ... “And Now a Word from Our Sponsor . . . class days . . . Burger King crowns . . . the race for the ladders . . . “ The Greatest Team On Earth ” . . . class competition . . . leaving school at 1 1:00 p.m. after a long day of decorating . . . “Castle of Victory . . . clown hats and red noses . . . white sheets and eye patches . . . falling signs . . . misplaced masking tape . . . “Lick ‘Em . . . crepe paper streamers . . . although the class of ’69 won the spirit stick, all three classes showed outstanding spirit for their team during Spirit Week. Sophomores transfer their spirit-boosting signs to the gym.
