The music department has organized two bands this year to accomodate the large percentage of students that wish to play an instrument, They are junior and Senior bands, The Senior band began its successful year early in September by marching and playing at football games, The pep band is also formed to play at basketball games, When both bands are put together there will be a com- bined personnel of 54 members, The band has rated both superior and excellent ratings at the contests, Standing in the Senior band are as follows: THIRD ROW: Dwaine Lauer, Ronald Thomas, Elaine Seevers, Joyce Sells, jerry Manning, Ruth Steve,ns, Ardis Sterner, Shirley Lauer, and Jeanne Grantzinger, SECOND ROW: Sharon Davolt, Kay Hall, junior Souders, Bernard Manning, Eulalia Butler, Donna Davy, La Donna Sells, Judy Hicks, and Mr, Rischling, FIRST ROW: james Souders, Dale Williams, Roger Kennedy, Arlene Barrett, Pat McCarty, Marion Yeck, Shirley Gehrman, Ervin Seeger, and Dwight Davy, The three drum majoretts are as follows: Viola Anderson, Wanda Weatherly, and Carolyn Anderson, The Junior band which is progressing very rapidly and will have a good band before the spring concerts, Standing and seating in the picture are as follows: THIRD ROW: Mr, Rischling, jerry Bigbee, Courtis Martin', jean Clay, Winnie Hickman, Gerald Cody, jimmy Worth, Carl Koeffler, Bill Bigbee, Keith Leibhart, johnny Christensen, and Kenneth Olson, SECOND ROW: Darlene Cantrell, Raymond Hickman, Paula Ragsdale, Charlotte Thomas, and Rose Olson, FRONT ROW: Lynda Safranek, Betty Downey, Mary Cody, Anna Marie Williams, Glenn Rodd, Dale Meinhardt, Patsy Barrett, Sharlene Gehrman, Charlene Sells, Donald Stevens, Wayne Booton, Richard Lauer, and Kenneth Natchman, The instructor of both bands is Mr, Bill Rischling,
