ln behalf of the Seniors, a banquet we gave In colonial style, Oh how they did rave: Our Senior play brought fun and Work With our annual and paper, we'd never shirk, V : Our class again increased by one, When to our school came Stanley Young, We had studied hard for weeks and weeks, So Mr, Adams agreed Vthat we'd earned our sneak, A banquet was given in honor of us By the junior classg they made a great fuss, At last our years in school were completeg The problems of life we were ready to meet, So we graduated and went our way, But we'11 always remember our happy school days Baby Daze

Wir Class History Hark, ye readers: And read this poem, 'Tis the history of us, as we first left home, The first of us to form this band Was Ruth Janette and Elaine so grand, We entered the room where ,Miss Ftnner taught And learned to read and all knowledge sought, La Donna Sells found Anselmo tough, So came to Merna to learn her stuff, Now Franklyn and Willie joined our crew, We caught up with them in year number two, Miss Sterner taught our third grade year, This grade to us was very dear, We studied hard in Miss Asher's room, - So that failure in life was not our doom, We journeyed further down the hall, Miss Beavers taught our class so small, Our education became greater still Under the supervision of Miss Pauline Hill, 4 , Our class again increased by two with johnny and Dick, What would we do? Arlene then came to work and play, HA ubuu H V X we And join in graduation day, i if .VAA1 :'i, ,,. Up the flight of stairs we climbed, i i i' As Freshmen, we began our grind, First Glee, and Marion, and then came Pat, In the Freshman row, they timidly sat, ln our Sophomore year, Karl Miller arrived To our good class, as he surmised, Our junior year was a busy time, 11:.. To miss this fun would have been a crime l A Later that Night was our junior play, 0n this we studied night and day,

Class Will We, the Senior Class of Merna High School, in the year of Our Lord, 1951-52, hereby leave this last will and testament to the underclassmen and teachers of Merna High School, To . the junior class we will our patient and understanding sponsor, Miss Bitner, our ability to get along in school to the Sopho- mores, and to the Freshmen our ability to study, I, Arlene Barrett, will my artistic talents tojoe Evans, and my ability to play volleyball to jane Harrold, I, john Brewer, will my ability to tease girls to Bernard Manning, my guard position on the basketball team to Billy Dean Hircock, I, Glee Harrold, will my thinness to Barbara Kinish, my place to stay at Mrs, Peters to Mary K, Downey, I, Richard Hicks, will my extension course to any person with the brain of Einstein, my basketball ability to junior Souders, I, Pat McCarty, will my ability to not get caught chewing gum to Keith Leibhart, and my bass drum to anyone who can carry it at the football games, I, Franklyn Manning, will my halfback position to Dick Graybeal and my ability to go steady so long to Shirley Lauer, I, Karl Miller, will my athletic ability to Richard Lauer, and my singing ability to Elwood Seevers, I, Marion Olson, will my ability to get out of work to jim Souders, and my quietness to Inez jones, I, Elaine Seevers, will my singing ability to Iona Goodner, and my temper to Carl Koeffler, I, La Donna Sells, will my sweaters to Winnie Ann Hickman, and my job as editor to Ardis McCaslin, I, Ruth Stevens, will my Pep Club uniform to Ardis Sterner, and my good sportsmanship to anyone who can uphold it, I, Willie Wagner, will my old Ford to David Weatherly, and my ability to get out of school to anyone who can get away with it, I, Stanley Young, will my tallness to Ervin Seeger, and my boots to Dick Worth, We the Senior class will: To Mrs, Manning, a new mimograph machine, To Mr, Adams, all gum wads, A To Mr, Rischling, our singing ability, To Mr, Jacobson, all history books , To Mrs. Vance, the old English work books.
