Senior Class Merna, Nebraska May 23, 1962 Dear Willie, I received your letter asking about our graduating class that grad- uated back in 1952, What memories it brings back, I am visiting in the home of Mrs, Bruce Cole, formerly La Donna Sells, She is helping me write this letter to you, I am an Army sergeant in the South Pacific, as you know, ljust got back to the United States on a long awaited furlough, I am at long last giving some orders not receiving them like in good '52, So glad to hear of your good fortune of being editor of the Denver Post, Franklyn is now a farmer on the outskirts of Merna, He took Shirley Hirsch for his bride and they are raising a lovely family of five children, Surely you have heard of Arlene, She has become quite a famous ballet dancer, She now is making a tour of the country and has a home in Hollywood, Pat loves her job as an airline hostess for United Air Lines, She is engaged to a captain in the Air Force, Dick has found himself a prominent spot in television for he is com- peting with Bob Hope for a comedian show, Johnnie has found that the race track attracts him, He has filled his life ambition as being a jockey, He has ridden several winners and he will ride in the Kentucky Derby this year, Elaine has become a very successful singer, Perhaps you have heard some of her records put out by Victor recordings, Elaine is very happily married to her fourth husband out in Beverly Hills, California, Glee continued her studies at Kearney, She is now sitting on the other side of the desk as a teacher in the Merna High School, She is now teaching her pet peeve, history, Ruth Stevens is now making good as senator at Lincoln in the Nebraska legislature, She has made out quite well and it is rumored that she will run for governor next election, Karl Miller has now teamed up with Gary Crosby, He and Gary have signed a contract to make a movie, He is considered to be an eligible and wealthy bachelor, Stanley Young has organized a midget show which has been quite successful because of the contrast of Stanley's height and that of the performers, Miss Bitner long left Merna to accept a position in Lincoln as a teacher in the University of Nebraska, Maybe we all shall meet again someday, but until then, 'keep up the good Work, Be Seeing you, Your old clas s mate , Marion V J ff...-.an w'i1'6wI'rIFI'T.s lixii X -R VX X 7 ?l F -' Kg x ' QT 'X ,-. ,. -ff X- F' X ef .
