ALEYCE PRICE leaves all her baby-sitting jobs to Juanita Herring. JIM GIBSON leaves the music department his personal recordings of some of the latest hillbilly tunes. GEORGIE ROACH leaves her ability to dodge work to Cecil Smith. ANN WOOD leaves her ability to study sixteen hours a day to Ethel Ray. JULIAN VIA leaves his talent for telling tall tales to Glenwood Davis. I, DOROTHY MORRIS, leave my techniques for keeping boy friends so long to Joyce Burruss. I, JEAN BURR USS, leave my ability to chew gum in class and get by with it to Phyllis Smith. ITEM XVII To this school, in order to show our appreciation, for all that it has done for us, we do in this last will and testament, hereby bequeath the amount of ten thousand memories, with which to erect a bronze tablet, a lasting memorial of this Senior Class of l95l. Having bequeathed all that we possess, have possessed, and expect to possess, we hereby appoint Miss Mabel Adams and Mrs. Nella Via as executors oi this our last will and testament. In witness whereof, we have hereunto set our hands and seal in the year 'of our Lord, one thousand nine hundred and fifty-one. Last Will and Testament We, the Senior Class of 1951, being of unsound rnind and disintegrating memory after four strenuous years, do hereby make, publish anddelcare this as our last and best will and testament. hereby revoking all former wills, bequests, and devices of whatever nature by us already made. ITEM I To the entire Faculty, we leave a Senior Class that will set a good example to all other classes. ITEM II To our beloved Principal, Mr. Breeden, we bequeath our undying love and affection, with the request that he give to the next class the same guidance and justice that he so generously meted out to us. As a visible token of this love and affection, we do leave to Mr. Breeden a maid to keep his office clean. ITEM III To Miss Whitted, our home room teacher, we leave our ever- lasting thanks and good will for her kind assistance. ITEM IV To Mrs. Swineford, we leave a schedule that will include only art classes and a room full of future Rembrandts with which to work. ITEM V To Mrs. Montgomery, we leave an expert paper staff that will do everything perfectly without assistance. ITEM VI To Mrs. Smith, we leave a fourth year History Cl-ass that will keep as quiet and pay attention in class, as we did. ITEM VII To Mrs. Thompson, we leave the exclusive right to two rooms for her Home Economics Department. ITEM VIII To Mr. Puckett, we leave a doll to replace his riders that he misses so much this year. ITEM IX To Mrs. Via, we leave a car with the newest features--it needs no oil, no water, and it won't freeze in sub-zero weather. ITEM X To Mrs. Easton, we leave a reserved seat by the radiator each day at lunch period. ITEM XI To Miss Adams, we leave a private guide so she won't get in the wrong car when coming to PTA meetings. ITEM XII To Mrs. Smallwood, we leave a Senior Class that will walk quiet- ly and not disturb her 'class when passing by her door. ITEM XIII To Mrxs. Bailey, we leave free tickets to all square dances in the next half century. ITEM XIV To Mrs. Lucas, we leave a continuous friendship with the faculty members. ITEM XV To Miss Dunn, we leave a first grade that will be trained as well as her former ones. ITEM XVI Each member of the Senior Class leaves the following personal and class belongings to underclassmen: MARY ANN GIBSON leaves her modesty and bashfulness to Carolyn Gibson. PETER MORRIS leaves his popularity with the girls to Cecil Batten. FREDDIE FRAZIER leaves his quiet and studious ways to Lena Garver. JAMES YOWELL leaves his cunning ways to George Dalton. BARBARA BREEDEN leaves to Marie Shifflett her Power's Model figure. JOYCE I-IICKS leaves her good form on the basketball court to Judy Tracy. KATHERINE CARR leaves her ability to stay small to Gracie Gibson. LEWIS HARMON leaves his black wavy hair to Earl Wood. ALLEN DUNN leaves his love for school to Carolyn Payne. NELLIE CASH leaves her quiet speaking voice to Jean Wood and Lottie Shaver. Pl-IYLLIS HERR ING leaves that complexion of beautiful women to Stella Shifflett. Z5
