Graduates of ’71” Row |: Glen Martinsen, Sec. Vernon Carlson, V. Pres. Albert Larsen, Pres. Jude Harrison, Treas. Row 2: Don Rhea, Class Rep. Mr. Kratz, Adv. Mr. Knudsen, Adv. Throughout our high school years we 1971 seniors have carried the distinction of being the smallest class in the school. As freshmen we were so shy and nonaggressive that our class was unable to provide a skit for homecoming. From this timid beginning we advanced to become the participants of the most controversial Senior Sneak in Meridian’s history. This enthusiasm first showed itself in our junior year when we were consistently able to win the yelling competition during pep assemblies. Our class also won the contests for the biggest bonfire and the best homecoming posters, and our junior boys were the largest group participating in sports. Financially we were just as successful, making more money on both the Junior What Not and the Senior Play than had any other class. By the time our senior year arrived, we had learned that by working together we could accomplish many things. Applying this knowledge to our activities, such as the Senior Sneak and the Senior Play, we made our final year together a successful one and proved that strength comes in unity and not necessarily in numbers. CLASS MOTTO: Stronger Because United CLASS COLOR: Purple and Gold CLASS FLOWER: Lilac
