Juniors... Preparing to direct, following in the steps LOS GCC Same a OFFICERS: Mrs. Grace Kenoyer, S. Rhea, M. Buchholz, J. Bartok, T. O’Hara, J. Beard. The Juniors took their first step into the new year by electing Mike Bucholz, president; John Bartok, vice-president; Sue Rhea, secretary; Terry O’Hara, treasurer; and Jeff Beard, class representative. Mrs. Kenoyer advised them throughout the year. In the spring, the Junior What-Not was presented. The money raised by that was used to honor the Seniors at the Junior-Senior Banquet and the Junior-Senior Prom. The Sophomore class returned to Meridian for another great year, privileged to be high school beginners no longer. They enjoyed a fuller year of participation, having a big part in athletics, clubs, banquets, and homecomings. At election time they chose Don Rhea for president; Carl Muencher, vice president; Pat Zwiers, secretary; Albert Larson, treasurer, and Guy Abbott, class representative; Mrs. Pedersen and Mr. Belka served as their advisors. The Athletic Banquet was enjoyed by the boys who proved themselves worthy of the team by a long year of hard work. The girls served at the F.F.A. Banquet. Also they took a big part in the Mother’s Tea. All in all the Sophomores called it a great year and looked forward to their coming year as Juniors. OFFICERS: Mrs. Petersen, P- Zwiers, C.
