The event in the year for the class was the traditional initiation of the Freshmen. The date chosen for the big day was September 24. A committee consisting oi Herman Joneli, John Bullene, Larry Tobiassen, Elaine Nelson and Wilma Patten was appointed to plan the initiation. With the girls dressed in gunny-sacks and the boys in long under- wear and girls' bathing suits, the Freshmen were quite a sight! The Soph- omores enjoyed themselves immensely on initiation day and the Fresh- men were good sports. Page twenty-four
