Miss Morgan di- rected the play, with the help of Mary Jauregui as student director. The play takes place in the rector's study of St. Matthew's Church, where Hilary Laurens, played by Jerry Hall, has just been appointed new rector. With the help of the sexton of the church, Hastings, played by Merlyn Bodily, and the secretary, Miss Mowbroy, Hazel Nortman, he finally gets settled. Romance is added to the plot when Alexa McColly,,' Hilary's fiancee, played by Susan Asumendi, can't decide whether or not she will be a good rector's wife. Hettie Breckenridge, played by Barbara Hill, is a prominent member of the church who causes a lot of trouble. The trouble is solved by Mrs, Reed, fdouble castj Virginia Rodgers and Linda Cope. Other members of the cast were: Dick Laurensf' Paul Pack, who is Hilary's brotherg Samantha Adams, Bernice Merchant, wife of assistant pastor, Henry Alvard, Bill Overton, senior vestryman and dishonest politician, V. Dunn, Jim Mummert, vestrymang Maudie Dunn, played by Joyce Tanner, and Mary Perkins, Sue Bolen, a girl from the tenements. 68 INC KH XYUR1 HIYMIUN Gueens ll.1e1Ue XY'orI11ingtor1 was chosen to be 1111s ,'Xn11.1 1io11er1s w.1s er'owneL1 queen of the .111 ye.1r's 11OTTIUC0l'H1I'ljQ queen 111' 1110 foo111.111 squ.111. 1111.11 1-.l'..-X. 11.11'x'es1 11.111 by ,lim 1r1s11.
