MIXED CHORUS The Meridian High School mixed chorus had a successful second year. It appeared at several assembly programs including the Thanksgiving and Christmas assemblies and the Christmas and Easter public programs. Several groups and soloists appeared at various clubs in Meridian throughout the year. In February six students took part in the All-State mixed chorus at the Idaho Music Ed- ucators' Conference in Boise. The whole chorus Went to Nyssa, Oregon, February 11-12 for the Snake River Valley music festival. Soloists, small groups and the chorus itself, made an excellent showing at the District Music Festival in Weiser in April. An all-school operetta was represented in March. The chorus members took the lead- ing parts. The chorus also assisted on the baccalaureate and commencement exercises. J-V BAND The -I.V. Band played for lower class activities, during the year, such as basketball and football games. It also appeared in joint concert with the Senior Band and has been quite successful through this, its first year. l'iIl'Xf mu, Lrfl fo Rigbl--V. Ewing, XV. Scott, M. Badesheim. N. Larson, D.
