We the siatf of the 1988 Chief would like to dedicate this yearbook to Charles Brooks. His dedication to the music pro- gram is greatly appreciated by the students and the community. This outstanding de- dication is shown by the tremendous growth and interest in the school’s music program. AND ... TO THE CLASS OF 1948 we would like to say THANK YOU! for beginning a great tradition . . . THE CHIEF. Forty years ago, this class published the first annual of the Meredosia High School, and it has survived through maty changes—in the school, the town, and the world as well. Many of its members are still around Meredosia, some have moved, and a few have died. You may recognize some of the names for their accomplishments. Members of this graduating class, as pictured on their graduation composite picture hanging in the present high school, were: Hubert Alhorn, LaVerne Alhorn, Charles Arnold, James Boyd, Rowland Crum, Frances Floyd, Norma Floyd, Don Garrison, Betty Grammer, June Ham, Charlene Hammond, Bernita Hoff- meier, Virginia Mayes, Leland McAllister, Doris Ruyle, Gail Staake, Rose Ann Steinberg, Norma Jean Werries, and AnnaBelle Workman Chief Meredosia-Chambersburg High School Meredosia.
