PROPHECIES ANOTHER YEAR AND ANOTHER CLASS REUNION—The class of 1986 Is attending an Old Timers' Basketball Game in the gym at the former MCHS HIGH SCHOOL. The new high school now stands well above the flood waters on property given to the new Illinois Valley School District by Brian Werries and sits on land once owned by his grand- father and willed to Brian. Brian is here and just finished telling his story to Mr. G., and is now talking to Eric Allen and his friend Dr. J. They just finished a gruelling game of one-on-one with Eric winning, of course. Allison Browning is also involved in basketball as the coach of the Lakers having given her players their winning edge. Tim Parton and Jeff Gordley are also here still giving Mr. G. a hard time, and he is still trying to teach them something about chemistry. And there is Jana Hutton . . . out on here own recogni- zence after the theft of two volleyballs from the school. She and Pam VanHyning thought they might use them in Pam's fabulous Pam's Pizza Parlor in Florida. Susan Schmitz was going to drive them to Florida in her dream car (an Iroc Z28) but her headlights still sag. Many of the members of the class have gone on to college and professional careers it seems—such as Elizabeth Berghaus, who is a history professor at MacMurray; Chris Morath, a highly paid draftsman; Kim Rausch, who has applied her great penmanship to furthering her literary career; Shannon Walker, who is a Spanish speaking chemist; and Debbie Fargo who was a foreign language major at Harvard and is teaching in El Salvador. Businessmen and women abound among these graduates. Brenda Dunmire (and an un- named partner) have gone into the business of making marshmallow antenna covers; Jon Easley runs a Dude Ranch in Oklahoma; Jamie Surratt is nuts about his job as manager of the St. Louis Zoo and is still very much attached to squirrels; and the famous Denise Sehlts, who has her first Number One hit single, Miss Mary Sunshine in the Hall of Fame. -----and we can't forget Theresa Canfield—Miss Lovekamp would certainly be happy to know that Theresa has a business of her own—rolling toilet paper for distribution to school teachers who want to take revenge on students. Terri Brewer has had all her hopes and dreams come true and is living happily with her husband and six children in a 13-room mansion in Sunny California away from the hus- tle and bustle of the country life. Dewey Morrell is a bro-rider and the leader of the pack; and sees Aaron Morath quite often. Aaron is driving a car that actually has work- ing windshiled wipers. Speaking of cars, Kevin Dunmire has finally decided which car to drive, and is planning on giving anyone at the reunion (who wants one) a lift to Jeff Dowson's annual Satilite Burgoo. Why here comes Rowan Dunnaway (that's with two n's) who has been commissioned a vice- general. The general in charge of vice? Right behind him is Brenda Fanshier who fin- ally felt the breeze. We are still waiting for Stacey Fanshier (as usual) who was last seen walking home from the lake. He claims he ran out of gas and no one would give him a ride into town. SO FAREWELL FROM THE CLASS OF 1986. MAY ALL OF YOUR HOPES AND DREAMS COME TRUE. SEE YOU AT THE NEXT REUNION.!!! 17
