This 1992 edition centers on these achievements. The following are some excerpts from this outstanding piece of newswork: Kevin Barth has been awarded the honorary title, Knothole Inspector. Ron Brown has been proclaimed Bubs of the Year. Larry Hardwick has been named president of the Acme Flag Company. Joey Smith made an addition to the Honda. It is now known as a Jonda. Claudia Smith has had a terrible misfortune. It seems that her number one girdle factory has shut down due to lack of support. Diane Battefeld has been dubbed ’’Beethoven II She was quoted as saying, What was that you said? Jim Griebler has joined a group called The Three Muskrateers. Phil Dinners has opened a chain of FILLY-FAY-FRYERS cafes in Chambersburg, Baylis, and Fishhook. Karen Winkclman has defeated Russia's greatest to become weight lifting champion of the world. Congressman, Roger Staake has just proposed a new bill in favor of polygamy--it was stated that his three wives were exceedingly pleased. Steve Little has invented a basketball that dribbles Rick I mphryes , the famed astronomer, has discovered the real Haley's Comet in his own back yard. John Gregory has been named Speed-Shifter King of America. Tom Browning's first words in four years after sitting on a hilltop were, Chewy, Chewy Tootsie Roll lasts a long time. Bob Spoon has invented the synthetic hog shed. Janet Gerecke has become a new math teacher at MCHS. She is known as the teacher with the figures. Don Staake has mixed a new brew called Geteminthegut. I.arry, Tom, Royce Honor Students OUTSTANDING TEENAGER ILLINOIS STATE SCHOLAR WINNERS Cathy Kunzeman and Roger Staake were honored by the Illinois State Scholarship Program for their outstanding scores on the test administered by the organization. Named as Outstanding Teenagers of OUTSTANDING America were: Don Wohlers, Diane TEENAGER Battefeld, Janet Gerecke, and Tom Browning. DAR award winner was Janet; and SAR award winner was Don Wohlers. Karen Winkelman won the Homemaker of Tomorrow award. SAR AWARD OUTSTANDING TEENAGER OUTSTANDING TEENAGER DAR AWARD JIM GRIEBLER was chosen to attend Boys' State at the Illinois Fair Grounds, but was unable to attend so his alternate-- TOM BROWNING attended HOMEMAKER OF AMERICA JANET GERECKE was chosen to attend Girls' State at MacMurray College. Her alternate was— KAREN WINKELMAN
