Advisor: EDITORS: Susan Me Allister and Reggie Six Head Layout and Creative: Vicky Ellett and Michael Browning Business Managers: Madeline Lidgard and Max Myers Miss Mary Ann Schulte YEARBOOK STAFF Typists: Pat Newman, Jeanne McDonnald, and Charlotte Surratt Staff: Gary Irvin, Karl Gerecke, Butch DeVore, Melvin Hamman, Vince Morath, Harvey Fuelling, and Stan Summers. Finding time for the various tasks that go into making the yearbook is one of the hard- est jobs the staff has. As a staff, they select the cover color and design, the end sheet design, the number of pages to be in the book, and the number of books to be ordered. They must also try to come up with some new ideas for layout, not only of the activ- ities, but also of the ad section. In con- nection with the ads, the entire staff takes one day to scour the countryside to make enough money to print the book. It is very seldom that the yearbook will show a profit t the end of the year, and it is only through the generosity of the merchants in this area t the book is successful. V 3

WHO’S WHO CHARLOTTE SURRATT was named Homemaker of Tomorrow, by re- ceiving the highest score on the Betty Crocker test taken on December 5, 1967. MADELINE LIDGARD was chosen to receive the DAR Award for the year 1967-1968. She was chosen on the following basis: Patriotism, dependability, leadership, service, and citizenship. REGGIE SIX was selected to attend Boys’ State held at the State Fair grounds in the summer of 1967 . His selection was based on loyalty, leadership, and scholarship. SUSAN McCALLISTER was selected to attend Girls’ State held at McMurray College in the summer of 1967. Her selection was based on loyalty, leadership, and schol- arship. STEVE KL'XZEM.W was chosen to receive this year's SAR Award. He was chosen on the following basis: Patriotism, dependability, leadership, service, and citizenship. 5
