Text from Pages 1 - 88 of the 1964 volume:

m iiuww uti nmh edic at ion , =000= We, the class of 1963-64, in respect and admiration do hereby dedicate the yearbook to Miss Mary Ann Schulte, our class sponsor, and to our parents who have so willingly supported us through these past twelve years. SENIORS President Vice-President Secretary Treasurer Sandy Irving Terry Allen Rita Summers CLASS PROPHESY Sometimes as we view our lives, we wonder just what the future might hold for us. Let us think ahead and see what could happen if the world were to be formed in a different dimension. As the cloud of time flashes by, we, Betty Schroeder and Jon Pool, see our friends in the far.......far...........distant...........future...........THE TWILIGHT ZONE! ! ! ! As the haze clears, we see a drag race in action. We stay until the race is over, since time is of no consequence. When the winner is announced, we are pleasantly surprised to find John McCartney in his Butterscotch Bomb. John receives a 6-foot trophy which he will later melt down to make new parts for his car. As we travel on, we see Mickey Shepard as the president of the Weirdo Oil Company. Mickey spends most of his time and money on women and horses. Recently Mickey bet on Girdle in the Stretch and won a 5-year's supply of garters. What's this! ? Bruce Tweedy is still a senior at good old M. C. H.S. (Mad Chambers of Headless Simpletons). It seems that Bruce developed a crush on Miss Schulte and won't leave until she says, Yes. As the cloud of time drifts farther on, we see Judy Smith married to Jimmy Allen. She thought it would be an easy life. Nothing to do but lie around and let her own personal maid wait on her hand and foot. But it seems that Judy is up at 4:00 every morning milking cows so that Jimmy can deliver the milk on time. Next we find Tom Caldwell working as a shoe STrine boy on the corner of Outer and Limits. He makes about $3 a day. When his business slacks off, he does a song and dance routine for the people on the street and picks up a few odd pennies. Tom has been saving his money so that he can marry Judy. He now has exactly $22. 43. Better Hurry Tom! Going farther into the future we see Pam Petri now married to Perry Mason (Pam always said that wanted to be a lawyer). Mr. Mason never lost a case until.............. Terry Allen is now the coach at Winchester High School. He is now married to Diane and the stars of his team are none other than his own sons. He has a complete football team. Drifting farther on we see Carla Kramer working as a secretary to Harry Van Snodgrass. She always wanted a Red Corvair Monya Convertible, but oould never afford one. Since her salary is small she is having to buy the car a part at a time. So far, Carla has 2 wheels, 1 hub cap, the steering wheel, and the trunk lid. Take your time Carla, maybe cars will come back into style someday. Sailing on we find Rita Summers as one of the world's greatest actresses. During her first movie she met her present husband. Prince Edward Screwtupe. Rita is now the Princ- ess of Hula Heaven. As we enter the twelefth dimension we see that Donald Fuelling has become one of the movie screen's greatest lovers since the part he had in the senior class play. Donald took Richard Burton's place playing opposite Elizabeth Taylor. Man! This is a weird dimension. While drifting on we hear a voice. It sounds like some one making a political speech. It's none other than Karen Clark. Since she was elected as President of the Student Council at M. C.H.S., Karen has gotten the urge to lead. So she is now running for the first lady President of the United States. Good Luck Karen.1 Hearing voices again we put our time cloud in high gear and go to investigate. As we arrive on the scene we find Mrs. Janet Carmeen (formerly Janet McDaniel) in her 32 room haunted palace being chased around her kitchen bar by her triplets. We leave before they start chasing us. As we leave Janet's quiet home, what should land on our cloud but a football. It seems that Jack Easley and Nick Surratt were the stars of the football team when they played for M. C.H.S. Since then they've decided to extend their careers. They are now playing on the team Klip Klop's Cat Howsers coached by the famed Fran Klopfer. Their next game is with The Headless Martians coached by the Headless Martian himself, Artie McDannold. Drifting on we discover that Mrs. Steve Irving (formerly Sandy Floyd) has moved to Kentucky where they are now raising thoroughbred------thoroughbred Irving's that is. Going on we encounter a thick cloud of smoke. Thinking it only to be smog we travel farther into the cloud and find it to be John Bogue smoking his big R.G. Dun Cigar. Who should we see next but Joe Panella. Since the Physics class at M.C.H.S. influenced Joe on his own theories of relativity he made his million early in life. But he soon grew tired of the life of a millionaire and is now walking the slums of New York giving handouts to his fellow bums. As we drift farther on we see Sharon Floyd, courting the millions she made on her new hairdo. The Sky Rocket. As our cloud happens to drift back into our own dimension we see Rosia Mary Edlen, the owner of the Meredosia Skating Rink. She doesn't do much business because most of the space is taken up by her twelve kids. Staying in our own dimension for a while longer we see Ricky Major the conductor of the great M. C.H.S. Philharmonie. They are scheduled to leave next week for an around-the-world tour. Last but not least we see Dianna Hammond now living on the moon. It seems that Dianna baked a cake and the result was so powerful that the small explosion that took place sent Dianna and her residence flying through space. Guess she'll just have to stay there for it seems that she lost the recipe during the flight. May I be the first to congratulate you on this happy occasion in your life. The education that has been made possible for you to obtain will be invaluable to you: you journey the road of life. I know at times that you may have felt that this is too much work f what you will reap, but today, more than any time in the history of America, a High School Edu tion is necessary to obtain almost any kind of employment. Don't let this be the end of your learning. For some of you this will be the end of yov formal education, but this does not mean that you cannot continue to learn. Life can be, and nr be, a continuous process of learning, if you expect to be a valuable member of our society. For those that choose to continue your formal education, whether it be College, Univ sity, Trade School, Business School, etc., place your goals higher, ever progressing to do yoi very best. Our society today is in need of people willing to do more than just enough to get by, but to go beyond the achievements of your ancestors. This is the standard that has been set foi you and you must continue to carry out this practive if you expect to live in a country that is a leader. Remember, America is no greater than the individuals that make up America.
