ini strati on MR. CHEL YOUNG MRS. 3ETTIE MAJOR Principal Secretary Superintendent PRINCIPAL'S MESSAGE The Class of 1959 has completed the second phase of its formal education, that of graduating from high school. Your reactions to grad- uation are as varied as there are individuals in the class. Such is life as no two individuals are alike. We all have our differences. Some of you have worked hard and made the most of your opportunities. Others have not as yet taken life seriously. All of you will have continued opportunities to learn. Try to gain some new knowledge each day. Keep your minds alert and your hearts young. Avoid narrow-mindedness and prejudice. Be tolerant and not bitter. The opportunities for earning your living are many. Choose one in which you will be happy. Remember that the world does not owe you a living but that you owe it much. Seek opportunities for community service. On behalf of the Faculty and Board of Education of Community Unit 1 1 I extend to you our heartiest congratulations on the task completed and wish you well for the future. 5 Chel Young
