CLASS PROPHECY Well, here it is, our class reunion. These ten years have passed so fast. 1968 already! Wandering through the crowd here at our reunion I first came across Judy Martin. Judy was a Martin until about five years ago when she changed her name. She is now a bookkeeper for her husband's theater in Arizona. I just caught a glimpse of Susan (Griebler) Gregory across the room Sue is now raising a basketball team under the watchful eye of her coach- husband. In the spotlight now is our old school chum Phyllis Battefeld who is a Grand Ole Opry singing sensation. Phyllis is going to sing for us her favorite song and latest hit-- l Wish I Were Back in School. Our kind-hearted school mate, Judy McKinney, is doing the public a great favor. Judy is running a home for homeless animals. In the center of a large crowd stands Mark Unland (a rising scien- tist, outer space explorer and former classmate.) Mark is second only to Einstein but he is working on his own theory. Mark took time out from his preparation for the second manned trip to the moon. Mr. Savoie, our high school science teacher, was the first to reach the moon. Standing in a remote corner is Dick Hall. He is very studious looking now-a-days. As you might already know, Dick started to school all over again to increase his record of not missing any school for twelve years. Judy Allen is sitting at a table covered with food and she is eating away. Judy is still under the influence of our Senior Class play and is running a cootie farm for homeless and mistreated cooties. Dottie Kay Hobson flew in from Wyoming to be with the rest of us. Dottie runs a Beauty Ranch--she got the idea from our Senior play. G and W Furniture Store Pittsfield, Illinois Riley's Station J. R. CLASS WILL We, the Senior Class of 1958, possessed with the knowledge we have gained during our four years here, do hereby state this to be our last will and testament, revoking all other wills and statements made by us heretofore. To the Faculty-- 1. We leave best wishes for the rest of your teaching career. 2. We leave our plans for the future. 3. We leave, last but not least, all our troubles. To the Juniors we bequeath-- 1. Our dignity and air of sophistication. 2. The special privileges Seniors are entitled to. To the Sophomores we give the following advice-- 1. Work hard to make money for a good prom and Senior Class trip. 2. Have fun your Junior and Senior years. They'll never be forgotten. To the Freshmen 1. We leave our blessings and wishes that you get through MCHS with high honors and unforgettable memories just as the class of 1958 did. The individual bequeaths are as follows-- I, Judy Allen, just leave. I need everything I've got. I, Eleanor Beauchamp, will my position on the annual staff to Sue Ann Reining. I, Sharon Elben, leave my position at the bass drum to anyone who wants it. I, Louella Fuelling, will my quietness to Judy Major. I, Susan Gregory, will married life to Richard Hickman and Margie Hull. I, Wayne Goewey, will my car's hot speed to Rondell Sims, and also my long curly hair to Miss Schulte. I, Judy McKinney, will my conversational talents to Jesse Barrett. I, Phyllis Battefeld, will my hopes to get out of here to Terry Fletcher. Good luck, Terry! ! I, Dottie Hobson, will my car to Mary Gregory, Sarah Petri, and Joyce Rausch so they won't have to walk to school. I, Mark Unland, will my ability to do calisthenics to Eddie Barrett. I, Mary Steinberg, will my ability to step on people's toes in study hall to Rondell Sims. I, Bill Likes, will my driving skill to Robert Potter. I, Judy Martin, leave my brother Gene to carry on the family name honorably. I, Dick Hall, will my perfect attendance to Terry Fletcher. He needs it. I, Joan Newman, leave my locker, books, old papers, and pencil stubs to anyone who wants them. I, Archie Hunter, will nothing. I have nothing to leave. I, Anna Clark, will my ability to sleep in study hall to anyone who needs sleep. I, Karen Yost, leave to Judy Buhlig, all the rights and privileges of a Senior. One year as a Senior is enough. I see Mary Jean Steinberg seated at the piano commercing to play. Mary Jean is a world famous concert pianist. Thousands of male admirers are yielding to Mary Jean's every wish. Over in a corner Louella Fuelling is showing many blue ribbons and trophies she brought with her. She and her husband now live in Kentucky and own a large stable stocked with prize race horses. Their favorite horse is named Horsenik I --a Kentucky derby winner. As I move from table to table I rim across Eleanor Beauchamp, our former annual co-editor. Eleanor is a prominent newspaper and fashion magazine editor; she lives in a large penthouse in New York. I see Anna Clark, now a popular Hollywood star, posing for snap- shots. Ever since Anna was elected Homecoming Queen back at MCHS she has won many beauty contests which led her to the film capital. I'm sorry to say I didn't find Wayne Goewey in the crowd. He is now a hermit living by himself in the wilds around Chambersburg, Illinois. Poor Wayne, just too many girls! Joan Newman and Bill Likes are still going steady. Bill has popped the question to Joan, but Joan says she feels they don't know each other well enough yet. Talking to Joan and Bill is Archie Hunter. Archie is now a famous television and Rock-and-Roll recording star. Archie is still brooding over his lost love, Mrs. E. Presley--his competitor's wife. Sharon Elben, our bass drummer, has now become Mrs. E. Presley and is still all shook up. She is living in her fashionable Beverly Hills home. Last of all is me, Karen Yost. I'm a registered nurse so I'll take care of all the upset stomachs and headaches that occur after this big party. Mt. Sterling Implement Co. Mt.
