The Junior year found us half way through high school. Out of the twenty-three students enrolled in September, two did not finish. They were Virginia Sims, and Delbert VanHyning. Lucille Kennedy did not return to school after summer vacation. Edwin Scheer also joined us that year. On August 29, 1955, twenty-two Seniors embarked on the last step of their twelve-year journey. During our Senior year, only one student, Fonda Petri, did not finish. Out of thirty-three students enrolled in 1952, a graduating class of twenty-one remains. : LAS s II I S T O K Y Eight years mastered, four yet to go. That is what might have been heard from some of the Freshmen students in September, 1952, when they all came back to school to start their high school career. High School meant settling down, working hard, and trying their best to act like, or rather be, ladies and gentlemen. If you had looked this group over well, you would have found thirty-three Freshmen enrolled. They were Betty Allen, Charles Allen, George Allen, Marilyn Allen, John Barfield, Norma Dale, James Myers, Fonda Petri, Rita Petri, Bobby Dawson, Delbert VanHyning, Darold VanHyning, Stella McDannald, Marcella Gregory, Sandra Little, Doris Potter, Mardell McDaniel, John Ruyle, Rex Tracy, Jo Ellen Steinberg, Norma Workman, Vera Kay Fricke, Judy Hobson, Marilyn Schneider, Warren Dickman, Du Wayne Rausch, Roland Ransom, Billy Nunn, Curtis Muntman, Virginia Miller, and Donald Hannel. During the year of 1952, Chambersburg High School combined with Meredosia High School to form Unit II. Due to the combining of the two schools, we gained two more pupils, Harriett Thompson and Virginia Sims. During our Freshmen year, we lost five students. Marilyn Allen, John Barfield, Virginia Miller, Billy Nunn, and Roland Ransom. At the beginning of our Sophomore year, twenty-eight students registered. The end of the Sophomore year found us with a total of 22
