C LASS W I L L We, the Seniors of M. C. H. S. being of half sound mind and body do declare on this twenty-fifth day of May, nineteen hundred and fifty-six, that the following is a true and correct copy of our last will and testimony. We, the Seniors, will to the faculty our regular habits, punct- uality, and the excuses we are so good about bringing from home. To the Juniors, we will our ability to hold quiet class meetings and all our Senior dignity. To the Sophomores, we will our ability to hold long arguements that never get us anywhere, and our extreme quietness in the halls. To the Freshmen, we will our fondness for cokes and candy bars, and our skill for hitting the waste basket with our chewing gum. I, Betty Lou Allen, leave my volleyball ability to Bonnie Edlen. I, Charles Allen, leave my hot-rod ability to Ronnie Potter. I, George Allen, leave my ability to sleep in classes and get by with it to Ronnie Potter. I, Warren Dickman, leave my basketball technique to Ronnie Ellett. I, Vera Kay Fricke, will all the sour notes in chorus to Mary Jean Steinberg. 1, Marcella Gregory, will my ability to argue to Rebecca VanDeventer. I, Judy Hobson, will all the gum wrappers from Democracy class to Mark Unland and Mr. Major. I, Sandra Little, leave all the cob webs in the corners to Spider (Mary) Gregory. I, Curtiss Muntman, leave my membership card in the alcoholic anonymous club to Jim Rausch. I, Mardell McDaniel, will nothing. I need everything I have. proves to slightly warmer. Here we see a long column of red-coated mounties led by none other than General George Allen. Our magic fuel almost exhausted, we turn again to the U. S. A. As we come in view of the Statue of Liberty, we see the familiar face of Rita Petri busily polishing the torch of this famed statue while studying her play part for the South Atlantic . Suddenly a silver streak whizzes by; and, as we look into the cockpit, we see none other than Professor Doris Potter taking her second trip to the moon. From this point of view it seems that the old class of 1956 has been successful in gaining fame and fortune for themselves throughout the world. Everyone is looking forward to a reunion in the near future. Without further adieu, we hereby declare the Class of 1956 officially exiled from the Meredosia-Chambersburg High School until the year of 2000 , when they will again be reunited for a formal dinner to be sponsored by John D. Rockefeller III. By Doris Potter Marilyn Schneider Vera Kay Fricke Meredosia Nation Wide Store Bradley Implement Co. 19 Meredosia, Illinois Meredosia, Illinois
