Class Will Finding only a few very valuable items and characteristics in our ownership, we, the class of 1953 of Meredosia High School, being well, being lucky to graduate, do hereby, reluctantly, will these items and characteristics as follows: To the faculty: Our old I. O. U. 's in the office, all broken test tubes in the lab, ruined typewriter ribbon in the commercial room, and demolished textbooks. To the Juniors: Our broken rulers, old notes, the blame for all the damage we did in our four years, and our greatest hopes that, you, too, graduate. To the Sophomores: A list of all the ways to cheat on exams. (You will find them hid- den behind a loose brick, the 4th from the right in the 92nd row, on the East side of the high school building.) P. S. None of the 1,976,016 ways worked, anyway. To the Freshmen: Our old ticket stubs left over from school activities. (Maybe you can use them to sneak into future activities.) However; use them legally. That is, sneak in when nobody is looking. The other way it just doesn’t look well. The remaining items we will individually as we see they are most needed: I, Shirley Edwards, will my stinginess to any member of the Junior class so that next year they will be too stingy to will anything, too. I, Yvonne Floyd, will my perfect attendance to Beverly Chapman. I, Layton Yeakel, gladly leave 30 pounds of my weight to Curtis Muntman but not because he needs it. I, Johnny Miller, will a part of my ambition to Rita Petri. I, Marion Perry, leave all the parts that have fallen off of “The Ford” to Mr. Long for his car. I, Bob Duvendack, will my good grades and my jokes to Charles Tweedy and Linda Steinburg. Guess which gets which I, Virginia Dawson, leave my cheerleading ability to anyone who needs it. I, Billy Hulett, will my title “The Best Pest East of the West” to Billy Nunn. I, Jean Schneider, leave my Mac Murray pamphlets to anyone who wants to follow me to that college. I, Gwendolyn Tegeder, will my ability in sports to Vera Fricke. I, Erna Lee Staake, will all the old. combs, handkerchiefs, hairpins and wastepaper left in my locker to it’s next occupant. I, Harlan Fuelling, will my typing ability to whomever needs it. I, Wayne Dickman, will my tall, lankiness to Bob Six. I, Barbara Yeakel, leave my secrets on the quiet approach to catch a husband to Harriet Thompson. I, Dixie Griebler, will my ability of argumentation to anyone who needs it. I, James McDaniel, leave my good-naturedness to Pansy Floyd. I, Donald Allen, will my red hair to Donna Downey. I, Galen Pool, shall contribute a demonstration on “Slow and Careful Driving” for the benefit of all. I, Norma J. Simmons, leave my ability to catch a man to Virginia Sims. I, Donna Hobson, will my kneenex to Nancy Little. I, Doris Smith, will my locker to Merlyn Smith, if he wants to clean it out. I, Glenn Janes, will my fetching smile to Fonda Petri. I, Shirley Heitbrink, leave. 16
