FOUNDERS ' DAY A tradition at Meredith is Founders ' Day. a day when facuhy and students, alumnae and friends join together in commemoration of the founders of this institution. It is important to us because we realize that were it not for the past there would be no present and certainly no future. One of the events of this day is the recep- tion held in Johnson Hall for the faculty, staff, guests, and members of the Senior Class. •HI Founders ' Day brings with it more than a formal service. It fosters a union diificult to achieve under other circumstan- ces. It is a nostalgic moment as Seniors realize that this is the last time their entire class will be so assembled. It is a time of pride, the just pride of an insti- tution which has well fulfilled its purpose. Bui it is a time of rededication. rededication to the high calling of Christian scholarship.
