Freshmen We felt awfully dumb and scared when we entered the portals of Mere- dith College as freshmen; hut as we began to get acquainted with our classmates, we were consoled that they fell stupid, too, and we discovered that they were quite amiable people and not to he feared. We were com- rades through the ordeal of the entrance tests and the first few weeks of classes, which made high school seem like recess. We parted long enough on Decision Day to walk in the Astro or Phi side of the dining hall after joining a society. We mingled with the fraternity hoys at their rush parties and looked with envy at our upper classmen who wore the hoys ' pins. We did our best at that strange custom called Stunt and realized what fun it was.
