SHER SCHOOL THOUGH the student body of the Meredith College Summer Session is much smaller than that of the regular session, the varied a(ti ities of the group are carried on no less enthusiastically. The Baptist Student Linioii held vesper service each Wednesday and family altar ' services on Monday, Tuesday, and Thursday evenings. Under its sponsor- ship, the students of the summer session took as their special responsibility the Gary Street Mission, contributing generously of time and money in cleaning and renovating the mission house. The social life afforded opijortunities for frientlly association between faculty and students, as well as for mccling students from other colleges. One of the most successful parties was that gi cn by ihe student councils of Meredith and iSorth Carolina State College. The Round Table Discussion Group met weekly to discuss current problems. The athletic activities included horseback riding, swimming, tennis, and golf. The college choir contributed to the life of the community by providing special music at the Sunday evening services held in the amphitheatre of the Raleigh Drama Center.
