And now here is my secret, a very simple secret: It is only with the heart that one can see rightly, what is essential is invisible to theeye. Men have forgotten this truth But you must never forget it. You become responsible, forever, for what you have tamed. You are responsible for your rose . . . St. Exupery Goodbye. Congratulations. God be with you. We are friends, and now we are unique in all the world. Sister Ieanne Margaret g 38 To Sister Ieanne Margaret, We, the graduating class, would like to take this opportunity to immortalize our last words to you. Our theme this year is that of he ain't heavy, he's my brother. The song, like the story, tells of a love between brothers fone healthy, one sickl that binds them together on their sojourn of the long, long road of life. We are reminded that there is no return from this road. So, too, we will never return to this portion of our lives. Perhaps in our time here we have learned a little of the love for our sick brothers. Hopefully we will respond with open hearts and minds to the needs of others as we pass on our own separate ways. We want you to know what we strive for and what we have learned. We want you to be proud of us. You played a great part in making us what we are and we thank you for that. Always, The Senior Class of 1972 39 em mber QEU1 How do you keep the spirit of a young 21 year old girl alive? Diseases and illnesses, which she fought as her vocation, took her life. She tried in many ways to tell us, but our deaf ears and blind eyes failed to comprehend. Now that God has taken her away, suddenly we see the dawn- ing of her secret intuitions. Our hearts wanted so very hard to breathe a few more moments of life into her soul but we are not Gods. As days go by, small reminders prevail in our lives - maybe this is her living spirit .... that BIV will continue in our livesg for she shall never be for- gotten. Though God in his strange ways gives us replacements for our agonies, these replace- ments are never better than the originalp but they help. Mary T.
