Jlixz .xizift ' x 1 Y 1 l xx X ,-sffk . ,ai 'b l ' 5 S Christmas Tree M0 sing a carol joyfully, The yearis great feast a-keepirzgf' Christmas-of all the days in the year what day is dearer, holds more thrills, provides more dreams for one than Christmas? For days ahead plans were made for the Party, all were enthusiastic. The day before a large tree was put in the parlor in readiness for the decoration, which included shining tinsel, sparkling ornaments and twinkling lifts of soft red, green and gold. The room suggested the Christmas Spirit. The evening of the Party arrived and the girls were assembled. In the distance bells were heard, a breathless hush fell over all for a few moments, then a jolly Santa Claus marched in. Amid a clamor of shrieks and squeaks, he tirelessly distributed gifts to all, making each one happy. Christmas Carols were chanted repeating the joyful message, MPeace on earth, good will toward men. Midwinter Frolic The third annual midwinter frolic was indeed a success. It was spon- sored by the student nurses, and chaperoned by the Staff Doctors and their wives. The beautiful Ball Room at the Hotel Wenonah was completely transformed with Japanese lanterns. palms, Howers and cosy sitting-out places. The features of the evening were given by the lVlcMullen Sisters, classical and popular dancers, and by Mr. Brogger, vocal soloist. Orien- tal favors were presented during the grand march, which was led by Irene Chevrette and Stanley lVlcRae. An out-of-town orchestra provided splen- did music. Q, iftilhk ' t 111 :e l U61
