-fllrx'ii1m:' X I Freshmen History On September lst, 1926, the Freshmen of our organ- ization took upon themselves the task of weaving into the fabric of their lives the pattern of a Nurse. Some came from the North, others from the South, some from Saginaw and some from our own town. After spending three months on probation they were given the much prized caps and bibs. They were indeed very happy. It was necessary to awaken them early the first morning, in order that time be taken to adjust the bib and tilt the cap to the correct angle. The Freshmen are a fine crowd and we wish them well through future years. me l haven't much faith in the man who complains Of the work he has chosen to do. Heis lazy, or else deficient in brains, And-maybe a hypocrite, too. He7s likely to cheat and he's likely to robg Away with the man who finds fault with his job. But give me the man with the sun in his face And the shadows all dancing behindg Who can meet his reverses with calmness and grace, And never forget to be kindg For whether heis wielding a scepter or swab, l have faith with the man who's in love with his job. Then take this honey for thy bitterest cup, There is no failure save in giving up: No real fall so long as one still tries, For seeming setbacks make the strong man wiseg There,s no defeat in truth, save from within, Unless you're beaten there, you're bound to win. t f js rf68J,
