Elizabeth McDowell Bialy, the youngest daughter of John and Ann McDowell, natives of the north of Ireland, Was born in Chatham, Ontario, July 18, 1851. With her parents she came to Bay City in 1862, living on Water Street. Later she resided with her sister, Mrs. Mary Jane Chron, at Williams and Seventeenth Street, Where on November 28, 1877, she was united in marriage with Mendel John Bialy. Her life was spent in Bay City, Where she passed away December 8, 1924. To commemorate in perpetuity the high ideals and generous forethought his Wife ever evinced for others, Mr. Bialy has erected and dedicated this magnificent monument-home for other noble women who have consecrated their lives to the service of sick and suffering humanity. .,...., J J J C, .V 1,1-Q.
