In Surgical Nursing we strive to acquire the knowledge, the skills and the atti- tudes essential for the care of our pa- tients. No one appreciates more than the surgeon how essential is a nurse well trained in nursing technique. We realize these accomplishments can be obtained only by continued practice at the bed- side. Comprehensive nursing care of every surgical case is our aim. The responsibili- ties of the surgical nurse are many, how- ever she is amply rewarded by her real- izations that she can play her role often in bringing health and solace to broken minds and bodies.
