cigiaorfa .ibel v . . .Af l'Cg The tremendous success of the Club, now only three years old, is attributed to the purpose of the club: To promote, through its members, good sportsmanship and leadership at Mercy, both on and off the playing field. To be a member, a young man must have earned a varsity letter in a com- petitive sport. Club members assist the coaches in the athletic duties of the schooleeacting as referees and timelceepers for intramural basket- ball games. Attendance at all games, sale of programs, and the decorating of goal posts for the visitors as well as the home team are activities by which members of the Pep Club seek to promote better school spirit. This year, in conjunction with the Club, the Pep Club sponsored a bonfire on the eve of the l-lomef coming Game.
