emofz Sem!-U! As go the seniors, so goes the school,', is a saying which proved the tremendous spirit the Class of ,5 7 dis- played this year. As in years gone by, the seniors played an important part on football, basketball, baseball, and track teams. Senior representation on the C.A.C. All-Star Team, All-District Football Team, All District- Basketball Team, and State Basketball Team, helped bring honor to Mercy. The winning of five scholarships showed the aca- demic ability of the Class of '5 7. The Football Prom, May Day, Junior-Senior Prom, Ring Day, and Graduation Day will be cherished mem- ories to the seniors in the years to come. Pioneers in the planning of Ring Day and the first to graduate from Kiel Auditorium, this Senior Class has truly lived up to the Mercy tradition of a class to be praised and one of which we can be proud. 170..

N ome Uqsicle . . . and .qqest lvlzilevu eylfafzk 6:51 Perhaps the greatest honor hcstowed upon the Class of '57 was the privilege of heing the first class given the opportunity to make a closed retreat. The seniors found that the Cedar Hill retreat house, 'iVaugirardv-with its peacefulness and serenity-provided an atmosphere conducive to prayer as Well as relaxation. These three days of intimacy with Christ opened a store-house of abundant lmlessings and graces to Mercy seniors who heeded the Words of Father Lord, So before you have gone too far away from school and lost your contact with the priests or the religious who taught you, give yourself a final chance. May a yearly retreat become an integral part of each senioris future-no matter what voca- tion in life he chooses. V A U APHII, 10-13 C I R A H D lm o APRIL 14- 17 u n d I -71-
