To kneel and worship, deep and pure, To care the Orphan, feed the Poor, To speed on angels, Wings below, And hover ,round the couch of woe The Wayward sinner to reclaim, God,s love and mercy to proclaim, To teach, to labor, and to pray, To point to heaven, and to lead the way. ,2- WE, the members of the class of 1956, dedicate our Senior book to the Sisters of Mercy. This year brings with it the centennial of the coming of the Religious Sisters of Mercy to St. Louis. At the invitation of Archbishop Peter R. Kenriclc, the daughters of Mother Mary Catherine McAuley began their works in this Archdiocese, on the Feast of Uur Lady of Perpetual Help, 1856. Our dedication is in reality a recognition of the untiring efforts and fruitful labors of this Com- munity. May the Sisters of Mercy accept this as a tribute from the many who have been guided and inspired to a better life by them. -3- 'Q THE MOST REVEREND JOSEPH ELMER RITTER, S.T.D THE MOST REVEREND THE MOST REVEREND CHARLES H.
