IVI any times in life we come to obstacles that must be overcome and events which affect us forever. The Class of ’87 has experienced such an event; the death of our classmate, Judy Holohan. Although she was with us only one short year, Judy touched the lives of many. She was warm and friendly; the kind of person that is not easily forgotten. This yearbook of the Class of ’87 is dedicated to Judy, a friend we will always remember. Maureen Villa Freshman year — We’re scared and new. “I can’t find my homeroom What do I do?!?” We stared at and followed The crowd that was ahead. God help me! He’s a senior! — I wish I were dead!” Sophomore year — We’ve a year under our belt. We laugh at the freshmen; Yeah, that’s how felt!” We’re a little more confident; And we know not to say, Which room is Biology? I can't find my way! Junior year — We're big shots and snobs. One year left! We brag — Only to cover the sobs. But we can't be sentimental; We’ve got to be strong. There’s a whole year ahead! But it doesn't last long. Senior year — The end of the line. We look through colleges; Will I find mine?” The year has flown by. How quickly it ends! Now all we have left Are goodbyes, my friends ... m I he administration serves as the conductor of all functions within the school. A hundred different drums play while underclassmen seek to find the correct tempo for themselves There's a ragtime count for freshmen, electronic chords for sophomores and a jazz session being conducted by the Juniors. Believe it or not there is an appealing charm to the notes produced in this composition of underclassmen. There is a lingering melody while the classes move on with their search for the right drum beat of life. 49 u _ P®ter Berna902zi Mrs Gabriel. Ronald Bozuhoski, Sandra Beck, Christopher Benedict. Where do I pick up my diploma? Q uring any school year there are many people who contribute to Mercy High School’s success. We fear that in trying to list all those people who deserve our congratula- tions and thanks, we might miss someone. So here’s to you — maintenance, office and kitchen staffs — to all the behind the scenes people. — CONGRAT GOLD PEOPLE Iso, because of our yearbook prin- ting deadline, we could not have a complete list of our Regents Scholar- ship winners and other academic awards. Please check our Graduation Program for this honor. However, we don’t want to forget these contributors to Mercy High School’s success — so we dedicate these two pages to all of those solid gold people. ULATIONS THE DUC 174 175 I WISH ...
