Sister Mary Hugh has made the library one of the most popular places in the school. She is always at her desk to welcome and encourage Ver ' often history assignments are correlated with English, the literary-minded. Can it be that Sister Mary Isidore and Sister Mary Stephen are mixing the ingredients for a literary A-bomb? Sister Mary Bernarda is evidently trying to con- vince Sister Mary Aqui- nas that art is the most important subject in the curriculum. Is she suc- ceeding ?

In that first year of Mercy’s foun- dation when Mr. Murray offered his services to us, facilities were few and ability was untried. Intense training and untiring practice under Coach Murray have carried victory with them to Mercy in baseball, basketball and bowling and have also been the means of a character build-up and personality improvement in the individual mem- bers of the teams.
