Shakespeare seems to be one of Dr. Van- diver's favorites, and if you're looking for an inter- esting course, be sure to1 take one from him. I lit complete naturalness and a fine sense of humor have won for him a place in the heart of all his students. Mrs. Helen B, 1 1.vmale, Associate Professor of English, is loved by everyone in her sphere of influ- ence. Why ' One student explained it, saying simply, She’s just so human and understanding. We admire her for her fine character anti lofty ideals. Professor W, T. Smalley returned to us this fall from the University of Chicago after being away for several months. He is very thorough in his work and is an authority both in literature and grammar. Dr, Vandiver reads a letter. Miss Mary Jordan Sanders.
