Price came to Mercer in 1918, and, from that rime until his death, served as business manager anil account- ant for the University He always had the institution at heart —his chief interest being the advancement of Mercer. He wag a Christian gentleman in every respect, an active church ► worker, always holding an office in every church with which lie was affiliated. I le was precise and efficient in his dealings, gaining the respect of all his transactors.

Dr. Freeman, author, poet, scholar, minister, and instructor at Mercer for the past twelve years, has made invaluable contributions to the university: not only by virtue of his instruction, but by his human understanding anti encouragement which he extends to all with whom he comes in contact. Upon his resigning the chair of Christianity and Philosophy, where he has served with such distinction, Mercer loses one of its most respected and beloved faculty members. n OIJ A gay and giddy round of dances, dates, class cuts, avoidance of de- ficiency slips by the skin of the teeth, romances, late hours, late rising, fun and more fun. This is college to some. To others, it is hooks, hooks, hooks, late hours (but studying, not dancing), tireless application, the dean’s list, perfect exam papers, becoming teacher’s pet graduation with honors. To still a third group, college is activities, organizations, meetings and more meetings, a long list after his name in the CAL’LDRON, studying when he has time, making good marks hy dint of his campus prominence, developing a number of talents. To a fourth group, college is an earnest battle to prepare themselves to make their way in the bigger college waiting outside. Others use a judicious mixture of the viewpoints mentioned. Somewhere in these groups lies college, a mixture of all of them so let's turn the pages and look at our college” and those who make it up.
